But many of these contact managers can do more to help us manage
our businesses beyond scheduling our time and making phone
directories portable. These products can be used to measure response time to customer
calls, including telephone wait times, and making sure that all
customer calls are cleared. Cleared calls can be post hoc
analyzed for the time and quality of service. Sales forces can be analyzed to see who is making effective use of
time and who might need additional coaching and counseling.
Given the unfortunate but frequent turnover in sales people,
these systems can be used to ensure follow up on what might turn
out to be real, live prospects.
