Technical tip #61, October 28, 2004: Read and send AOL mail using Outlook Exress

I subscribe to PC Magazine's tech tips and this and #60 are blatantly lifted from there but these two were too good not to pass along.

Apparently with the latest version of AOL mail and Outlook Express (6.0) you can now read and send AOL mail without using the AOL browser (a fate almost as bad as death).  I assume the same parameters apply to Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, etc., although you would have to try to be sure.  I lost the link to PC Mag for this tip but a Google search turned up this at AOL's  own help pages:
